Dark Light - a free PC 2D platformer game
Dark Light is a free PC 2D platformer game for Windows. It is currently under development.
Here is how it looks right now:
The graphics are unfinished and temporary. Here's some gameplay footage:
The finished game will have this:
- Completely skill based gameplay with no fake difficulty or chance based gameplay
- Super tight yet forgiving controls that the player doesn't have to fight
- Stylized silhouette graphics
- 450 levels in two worlds
- A lot of interesting obstacles and hazards to overcome
Download - public PC alpha testing
Right now the game only has a handful of levels and features and the graphics are temporary.
You need Microsoft .NET Framework 4 and Microsoft XNA Framework 4.0 and a screen resolution of at least 1280×720 to run it.

Controls:
- Left/Right – move left/right
- X - jump
- Y - slow down
- Up/Down - wall jump control
- F5 - switch to Dark World and back
Known bugs
- Wall jumping away from a crumbling block really fast doesn't make it crumble
